This high quality equipment was designed for making computer diskettes and was part of a fully automated facility set up by KAO in Arnprior, ON. The parts being moulded were computer diskette clam-shells. These are approximately 3.5" x 3.5" flat square parts with intricate details on the inside surfaces made of HIPS or ABS. These systems are ideal for thin walled parts and for parts that need to be moulded in a very clean environment. Only HIPS material was used in this system. With some modifications these systems can be adapted to many other uses. All equipment and molds were extremely well maintained and are in unusually fine condition.
